Nokia Asha 503 pertama kali diperkenalkan pihak vendor nokia pada bulan oktober tahun 2013 dan sebulan kemudian pada bulan november ponsel tersebut secara resmi diluncurkan ke pasaran oleh produsen nokia.

Nokia Asha 503 hadir dengan spesifikasi yang paling mewah diantara tiga ponsel terbaru yang diluncurkan pihak nokia sekaligus. Nokia Asha 503 hadir dengan sistem operasi dari Nokia Asha software platform 1.2 dengan dibekali memory eksternal berupa slot microSD hingga 32GB, termasuk kartu penyimpanan 4GB.
